The Federal Aviation Administration has notified the flying public that the President of the United States will be in the San Francisco Bay Area on May 25 and 26. Grab a copy of the May 2010 edition of the Flightline newsletter, available on the Flightline page.
After some discussion with the President and several emails asking about the topic, the Frequently Asked Questions section has now been updated with information on the field closure this summer and its impact on new memberships.
To read all about it click the “Club Info” link at the top of any page and select “Frequently Asked Questions.”
If you are interested in being notified by email each time a new Flightline newsletter is available, you can sign up using the link below. This is a separate mailing list from the one the club uses for official communications and will only be used to tell you when a new Flightline is ready to download.
By request, two new contacts have been added to the club officers and staff page: Car Track Manager and Webmaster.
You can view this information on the officers and staff page.
Looking at the recent visits to the web site there seems to be some folks visiting on mobile phones. In order to make this experience a bit more usable a mobile-specific version of the site has been enabled.
It doesn’t have all of the same features, layout and information as the full web site, but it is far easier to get and view on a mobile device. Try it out and let us know what you think. If you want to switch back to the full web site you can do so by clicking the link at the bottom of each mobile page.
The April 2010 edition of the Flightline newsletter is now available for download and viewing. It can be found on the Flightline page along with past issues.
If you are interested in being notfied via email each time a new Flightline is posted, that feature is being investigated. More details about the notification process will be put on this page when the information becomes available.
This is a useful page that had gone missing, but has returned again: Frequently Asked Questions.
