The club was going to host the standard monthly lunch on November 7 but rain won the day. Since that BBQ was cancelled we have rescheduled the BBQ for this Sunday the 14th November at the SCCMAS (TomCats- Morgan hill field).
For directions to the SCCMAS field, please see this map.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Bayside R/C Club Auction on October 30. Unofficially it appears to have been the largest auction ever held by the club. A great number of deals were had by many folks and a lot of sellers were glad to move their wares onto deserving homes.
If you missed out on the great deals and interesting R/C gear you may have another chance to find your next purchase… the Santa Clara County Tomcats will be having a swap meet event on Saturday, November 6, 2010, rain or shine. For details for that event, click this Adobe Acrobat (PDF) flyer with all the event specifics.

For those folks flying anywhere inside the immediate Bay Area, which is pretty much all of us, the FAA has just released information on a Presidential Temporary Flight Restriction for both Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22.
This TFR covers virtually the entire Bay Area and prohibits all model airplane activity from taking place, in addition to the standard restriction of GA flights and training. It is strongly advised that you do not attempt to fly any model aircraft during this period unless you want to spend time with the Secret Service and FAA.
For details please see the FAA TFR web site.
